Ms. Witten is an attorney and founder of Witten PC, a professional law corporation (www.wittenlegal.com) representing companies in business and corporate law transactions. She also represents individuals in estate planning and wealth management matters. Ms. Witten has practiced law for nearly ten years and prior to opening her firm; she served as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and corporate Secretary to an SEC registered investment advisor with over $1.6Billion in AUM. Ms. Witten's experience also includes serving as Corporate Counsel of a government contracting company working with federally funded technology based projects, including programs for the DOJ, Navy, and NASA. Ms. Witten is also a Board of Director of vIDentity Systems, Inc., a biometrics and identity management company.
Ms. Witten received her Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law in 1998. She earned her B.S. in Government, magna cum laude from Liberty University, where she was a Division I women's soccer scholarship athlete. Ms. Witten was inspired to become an attorney at a young age by the poignant themes and characters of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird. She was especially moved by Lee's fictional attorney Atticus Finch, a man of very high moral standards who retained his integrity by staying true to his values in all circumstances, no matter what the outcome. Jeannette strives to live her own life and practice law in the same manner and is dedicated to contributing to the honor of the legal profession through service in the community.
